Need translation of Marian hymn

I thought I might find a few Latin scholars on this forum who could help me with an English translation of this hymn (#88 in the Pius X Hymnal). Any takers? Thanks!

O María, Virgo pia,
Mater admirábilis;
Per te Deus, judex meus,
Mihi sit placábilis.

Commendáre me dignáre,
Christo, tuo Fílio;
Ut non cadam, sed evádam
De mundi naufrágio.

Pro me pete, ut quiéte,
Sempitérna pérfruar;
Ne torméntis comburéntis
Stagni miser óbruar.

Esto tutrix et adjútrix
Christiáni pópuli;
Pacem praésta, ne molésta
Nos pertúrbent saéculi.

I stink at Latin, but I will try the first stanza.

O María, Virgo pia,
Mater admirábilis;
Per te Deus, judex meus,
Mihi sit placábilis.

O Mary, pious Virgin,
admirable Mother;
through you God, my judge,
to me he is pleasing.

That’s my rough translation and sounds utterly wrong. I am fairly confidant of the first two lines and judex meus, but not the others due to poor memory. Latin grammar can be funny too. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come by.

Here’s my attempt, although I must warn you that I’ve studied medieval Latin only for five years. Surely there are better Latinists than me on this forum. My translation is a little loose in places, in an attempt to make it flow…

O Mary, pious Virgin,
Admirable Mother;
Through you, God, my judge
Is forgiving to me.

Deign to commend me
To Jesus Christ, your Son,
So that I might not die, but escape
From the shipwreck of the world.

Intercede for me, so that
I might enjoy eternal things peacefully;
So that I, the wretched one, might not be buried
By the burning torments of the Swamp.

You shall be the teacher and helper
Of the Christian people;
Show us peace, so that the troublesome things of the world
Might not disturb us.
