A little bit myself I was raised a Baptist who became a Muslim at 19. The reasons why I did it was as a teenager I didn’t know about Christ. Then when it became the time for me to learn I became a skeptic. In Islam there wasn’t room for a Holy Spirit or even acceptance of Jesus as the son of God. I stayed as a Muslim till I was about 27 years of age then I became a quadriplegic. I was given a last rites because I was on my deathbed at that time. When the nuns/sisters came and prayed for me I asked about becoming a Catholic. Luckily we had a parish near by me then I started to attend RCIA classes but when I was discharged I moved away from the area. I missed going back to church and missed the spirit of the Church. Now I am 36 years old as well no longer disabled and decided to make a change. I got married recently and was able to find a parish close by. I contact the parishes office to resume my RCIA classes. My wife said she is glad that I made a change and she wants to learn as well. God willing I asked everyone keep us in their prayers for strength to help us with our journey!

So awesome! I’m praying for you and your wife. Praise God you are finding your way home. 👍

thank you Tampa! I really do appreciate it! I am not sure if others have spoken about Islam here or I am the first. Either way it is truly hard for former believers like myself. If I was in another country like Iran or Iraq I would be killed for making a huge decision. One thing that I am excited about is this website seems to have a supportive group here. I am glad that Christ led me here to this place. Thank you again!

My prayers are with you and your wife. May God bless you abundantly!

In Christ,
Teri
