Neighbor's children taken by the State?

I was walking the dog last evening and saw a cop parked at the corner. His light bar directional lights were on, directing drivers to his left.

Then a car with State tags drove by. The white female driver was looking over her shoulder at the black child(ren) in the backseat. I saw only the boy, but there may have been others in the car.

I don’t know if they were going to a function, or if they were being taken into the system. If it’s who I think it is, they’re a very sweet family. One of the boys may have Autism. The mother figure denied anything was wrong with him when I inquired years ago.
