I saw an article about this movie on New Mobility (link below) and naturally I was interested, being a wheelchair user myself. ♿ It is based on the true story of Amberley Snyder, a rodeo horse rider who was left a paraplegic in an auto accident, but was able to return to the rodeo, and not only return but be successful. Spencer Locke, the actress who plays her in the movie, is not disabled (out of necessity, since she portrays Amberley both pre- and post-accident), but Amberley herself performed the stunt riding for her “post-accident self” in the movie.

I thought the movie was often over the top melodramatic … would fit well on Hallmark Channel. But Ms. Locke did a decent job with the lead role.

Here’s the article: http://newmobility.com/2019/03/walk-ride-rodeo-netflix/

Saw this movie last night. We enjoyed it. We thought it was nice how wealthy her family is to be able to afford all that opportunity for her… to fly home, to have the horses and trainer, etc. It’s too bad that not all who become paralyzed that the same opportunities due to lack of finances. She’s truly an inspiration for continuing to pursue her dreams post injury.

I just saw this movie as a selection on
Netflix tonight. There was another movie I chose to watch.
I am glad to read yout reviews.
Since you both seemed to like it, I will put it down to watch later.

The more I think about the movie, the less I like it. It was really over the top with the melodrama in some scenes. Also in the scene where she crashes, someone mentions she was on “I-80”, but the road she’s driving on is NOT an interstate … fairly obvious this movie was made on the cheap.

If you like “Hallmark movies” you’ll probably like this.

Is it a Christian movie where religion or faith has a big part or inspirational about
how she was critically injured and her
remarkable recovery.

I don’t remember a strong faith component. It’s a Netflix original movie.

I turned it on last night, but it was more background noise. An inspirational story, but a little too sachriney for me.
There are some people who I am sure really enjoy movies like this. To each his
own.

When I read the thread title, I thought this might be some series on the Cowboy Channel 🙂
