I recently stumbled across a blog article that talks about 9 useful resources for Catholics.

The first resource contains so much to read! From St. Thomas Aquinas to various writings of saints and other writers from the 20th century!

It looks like a fantastic resource for apologists, lay theologians, and bored (me) people.

Seriously check it out! You have no reason to be bored.

Nice list and the person who wrote it has a lot of wit. I just love the Golden Legend. Many of our stories of saints and Catholic traditions come from it, and indeed many of the stories read like fairy tales. But charming nevertheless! Stories like St Christopher bearing the Christ Child, St Barbara and the golden apples, St Joseph’s staff, etc.
I’d recommend starting with a more condensed version, such as this famous one by the translator Caxton: http://brittlebooks.library.illinoi...2008-04/voraja0001golleg/voraja0001golleg.pdf

Every time I see something like “never bored again!” I think of “if you’re bored I can find something for you to do…”

Thank you!!! I have noticed the same thing even as you just search one saint, there opens a floodgate of more and more history! Isn’t it wonderful???
St. Thomas Aquinas is such an inspiration to me! The “via antiqua”. Oh it just is amazing! I am new, but now that I have found Our Mother Church…I can’t believe the restoration of the soul.
