In July, I decided that if I was going to claim to be Catholic, I needed to uphold the Church’s teachings on birth control. With the consent of my husband, I stopped taking the Pill.

My husband is military, and is currently in school and only coming home about once a month. So…wouldn’t you know it…he came home at just the right time of the month.

We have two daughters, and wanted more kids, so we are not upset that we are having another child. Our timing just is terrible, because he will not be home full time for another full year. So he will miss out on everything with this pregnancy, and I’ll be pregnant while carrying for our other children, alone.

Please, pray for my strength. (And my sanity!) 😃

I do feel truly blessed! I’m just really scared right now.

You have my prayers for you, your kids and your husband. May God bring him home safely.

God Bless,
Beckers

Congratulations to you!! I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers.

While I am not a military wife, I am a stay at home mom of 5 kids, ages 5,4,3,2 and 15mos (there are 1/2yrs in there too LOL). It can be tough, but well worth it…It is true…God will never give us more than we can handle.

My His love surround you!! Blessings 🙂

I know it is not the same as being there, but maybe modern tech can make things a little better. Does he have access to the internet?

I was thinking that maybe you can email pictures and maybe even video to him. I wonder if even the ultrasound video could be emailed or mailed to him for his review. I’ve heard they record ultrasounds now sometimes. I have a baby almost two years old now and they didn’t offer to video tape, but I think it is more common now.

I’m sorry that you are in this situation though, but I’m sure with prayer, you will find ways to cope with this. Please thank your husband for me for serving our country. I thank you for supporting your husband with love and prayers. God Bless you and your family.

Luckily, DH is about to move closer to home. In fact, he’ll be at home for 10 weeks, so he won’t totally miss out. But, that time will be in the middle of the pregnancy. I’m not sure what I’ll do about delivery!!!

We’ve been so blessed that he has been in the States the whole time, and has been able to come home on a fairly regular basis. I just don’t look forward to doing all of this alone.

Thank you, all for your advice, comments, and prayers! I appreciate every one of them!

God Bless you, all!:blessyou:

Remember, your baby already has a guardian angel looking out for him/her!

I, too, and a military wife, and mom of three kiddos, 3 and under. I’m dreading the day I get pregnant again, but not because I don’t want a 4th, but because I know my husband will miss out on so much. Then again, we knew the sacrifice when we made the choice to join.

Luckily, being military, you have family all around you. Your neighbors, other spouses, friends, are all there for you, and will make sure you are well taken care of. It will be a challenge to spend time wisely with your husband since it will be limited, but everything will turn out fine. Baby will love his/her daddy despite whether he made it to one or all of your doctor appointments! My youngest wasn’t even 3 months old when my husband left for three months. He’s now 1yr old and can’t get enough of his daddy.

You are definitely in my prayers, and I hope everything work out! Let me know if you need ANYTHING!!! We’re family!

DH is a little sad that he may miss the birth, but he got a little reality check, yesterday, when he met a gentleman in his class that missed the birth of all three of his children. (Bless his wife’s heart!)

I am blessed to have family nearby (same neighborhood), when so many others have to deal with these situations in foreign lands, or away from loved ones. DH has been gone for two years, and I still doubt my abilities. But, I will continue to pray for strength and guidance.

Thanks, again, for all of the prayers!

No, we live in Huntsville, which is where Redstone Aresenal is. (NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center). I grew up here. DH is activated National Guard. When he’s not being soldier boy, he’s a banker!

Realized today, that things could be worse. I saw a lady at Target with quadruplets!!! About a year old! Whew!

😛 😛 😛 😛

FOUR BABIES? Yikes, I can handle one!
