Hello folks! TheCatholicGent(Gentleman) here- I am a recent Catholic convert from Islam. I have spent a good four/five months solid studying Christianity after having severe doubts with Islam which eventually transitioned to Agnosticism. But after careful comparison and a spiritual experience I fell in love with the faith(Catholicism)! I’m going to be 19 this August and have chosen that my most likely calling at this moment is to study theology with the hope’s of becoming a Catholic Apologist(I can’t WAIT for the headache’s ;P) so in order to help get into a good Catholic university I am going to do a gap year which part of it is going to be on a ship called the Logos Hope. Its a ship for all branch’s of Christians to dig deep in their faith and gain experience as a disciple of Jesus. Now i’m looking forward to this because I am going there with a mission to evanglise Catholicism which I’ve already started doing and really- really enjoying! However this is a cruise ship and I still don’t know if they have mass on board. I will most likely be on the ship from September till December/January. So my question is if I can’t regularly take part in mass on Sunday’s for reason’s such as being on sea and there will be no mass- is that pardonable in a situation such as mine? I know the Eucharist is perhaps THE focal point and distinctive part of Catholicism so not being able to take part in it is a daunting prospect by it’s self. We will be docking in countries so I will do my best to take part in mass when i’m there- but i’d love some of your opinions on this matter if you wouldn’t mind sharing!
