Your cafeteria is 100% closed!

Wow! You’re really cooking and I don’t mean in the cafeteria! You’re on fire for the Catholic faith and really know your stuff! Congratulations!
Yeah!!! Question #1 almost threw me though.

90%–I missed the natural law one. I couldn’t decide between the first option (revealed truths of nature) and the right answer–and I chose the wrong one…

My ten year old homeschooling daughter just took the quiz, here are her results:

Your cafeteria is 90% closed!

I think that she is pretty well catechized:thumbsup: The only one she missed was the one about the Temple Veil.

I missed the one about sacrilege.

90% maurin, they call me.

good quiz, PMG!

I got two questions “wrong.” I goofed by jumping to “being in a state of grace” as the right answer for the preparation to receive communion, and not looking carefully at all the answers (the right answer mentions the Eucharistic fast as well).
I got the same two wrong.

I got the one about Communion wrong also because I deliberately confected a scenario where someone who had just had lunch might be offered viaticum in extremis if he got hit by a truck and his survival looked unlikely.
The other one I would dispute. The supposedly right answer is that the natural law is an expression of the will of God. But in my understanding the natural law stems from God’s nature, not His will. God’s will decides matters of divine positive law (such as that baptism is the means of regeneration), but not, as I understand it, questions of natural law, which cannot be other than they are, God being who He is.

I got that wrong for the same reason. I believe it was worded as “a clear expression of the will of God.” It’s not all that clear at all times – at least not to the average bloke walkin’ down the street.

Sorry about the wording confusing you. It’s straight out of the Baltimore Catechism. 😉

I do like to make two answers very close to each other, so that people have to think in order to answer correctly, though. It’s more fun that way.🙂

i thought some of the questions were worded in a way that was difficult to understand and I didn’t read one of them properly. I scored 60% but would have scored more if the wording had been different I think.

It is HARD to make up wrong answers that sound as if they could be correct.

I stand by my viaticum scenario, though!

80% ! and I’m not even Catholic yet 😃 so I guess that’s pretty good. Maybe by Easter then 😉
