DEO GRTIAS I am sure many people rayed for thisHi Tradional Way…my take on the “new evangelization” is twofold (1) renew the European committment to Catholicism…as these countries have become more secular and (2) to renew work with those communities who have not got a strong embracing of Catholicism…
Would that be your take…also it is about making Catholicsm relevant today…like the rally to promote the sustainability of our worlds environment…all these good things…
I am working - as an Aboriginal Catholic for example - on new evangelization concepts…in that I am hosting two groups “Creating An Aboriginal Catholicism” and “Birthing an Aborigina Cosmic Mass”, each looking at the strengths of indigenous spirituality and the teachings of the church…how do they make sense for those of us who are both Aboriginal (indigenous) and Catholic…
Hope you join me in discussion…what is your take on the “new evangelism”?

You might want to check out the book “The Evangelization Equation”

It’s not a groundbreaking book that will revolutionize your life (at least it wasn’t for me), but it is well written, makes some good points, and addresses in detail what “the new evangilization” is.

I really feel that in the media, we need to do more! DEO GRATIAS for thisI think another important aspect of the New Evangelization is the use of new media (facebook, twitter, etc). In other words, it’s not about a change in content, but a change in methodology.
Add to that the emphasis on dialogue. Rather than me talking and you listening (or vice versa), the New Evangelization affords us the opportunity to discuss and share ideas, all in the hopes of leading to the Truth of Christ and his Church.
Those are just some of my thoughts, anyway. I would recommend “The Church and New Media,” edited by Brandon Vogt.
