Dear Brothers and Sisters,

HERE are some excellent insights for all of us: the Church in the world at this time. These insights are based on the parable of the “Great Banquet” in Luke’s Gospel. The author gives not only his insights but some practical applications for our lives. I’d be grateful to read your comments, either on the blog itself or here on this thread. Thanks.

I really enjoyed your husband’s interpretation of the recent events of the Church in terms of Our Lord’s parable on the Great Banquet. It is true that we are living in the last days - the time of Mercy through which we will bring a great diversity of believers into the Holy Catholic Faith and show them the Love, Grace, and Mercy of God. I, too, have been thinking about this in terms of Saint Faustina’s visions, Pope Saint John Paul II’s writings, and Pope Francis’ actions in this Holy Year of Mercy.

May God bless you and yours always! 🙂

Dear Richard,

Thanks so much for your comment. I read it to my husband this morning, as we have our computers side by side 🙂 Thomas appreciated your comment and said it was a “very good one”. We have had several good comments on the blog. Some are from people who attend our Bible Studies on Sundays, and one is from a member of my Legion of Mary group.

It is so important that we listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit each day for Jesus promised (cf John 16:13) that the Holy Spirit will bring us into the complete Truth. May God’s Mercy open the ears of our hearts to hear and to do the Truth we hear in our day. We are all called to holiness.
