We were watching Fr. Mitch Pawca on EWTN last night who had as his guests Arbp. Raymond L. Burke formerly of La Crosse, WI and now in St. Louis, MO and the Sister who has been put in charge of this new Shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe. It’s meant to be both a pilgrimage cite for intentions as well as for thanksgiving.
I just wanted to share this with everyone, especially those who live in the upper Midwest for whom going to the shrine in Mexico is a hardship. The shrine in WI has direct ties to the one in Mexico, so they are not trying to steal thunder from the original but rather extend the graces of Guadalupe to the Northern Hemisphere. After all, Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Patroness of all the Americas not just Mexico or South America.
