South Bend, IN – A new organization representing alumni of the University of Notre Dame is asking for the removal of the college’s president for defending his invitation to pro-abortion President Barack Obama to give the commencement address. The university is also honoring the abortion advocate with a special degree.

‘‘Constructive Dialogue’’ on Obama Invite No Longer Possible, N.D. President Tells Students

After reading this story, I wholehearted agree that he should be removed. How very very sad that his students, alumni, and many US Bishops will not be heard! How sad that Fr. Jenkins is now like so many of our “representatives” in Washington with their own agenda and not the best interest of those they represent.

May God send His Holy Spirit to Fr. Jenkins! May Fr. Jenkins heart be transformed and may God grant him the courage to do the right thing!

I feel Fr. Jenkins should be excommunicated not just dismissed from Notre Dame

I’m split on the Obama issue.

Where do we draw the line?

Masturbation is considered a mortal sin by the church. Yet I’m sure there would be no trouble allowing a politician who thought this should remain legal to speak at a Catholic University. I can say the same for politicians who would not want the Supreme court to overrule the Griswold v. Connecticut decision.

Do I think abortion and masturbation/contraception are equally bad? No I think abortion is worse.

But why do we draw the line where we do?
