Above are the new inductees in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. See any faves?

This shoulda been multiple choice.
But anyway, Black Sabbath rocks (-:

It appears to me that the Hall of Fame is taking anyone at this point just to survive. I think rap is in there already.

I no longer pay attention anymore because it has lost its value.

All I can say is that the other posters musn’t be rock fans. Skynyrd and Black Sabbath (who I don’t like) both deserve to be there. Skynyrd is one of the best. Blondie and the Sex Pistols I guess filled had specific niches during their run of fame, but that is about it for them.

Peace

Are they the group with a hit ‘Love Hurts’?

No, that was Nazareth. Black Sabbath’s biggest (most played on radio, anyway) hits were Iron Man and Paranoid. The lead singer for Black Sabbath was Ozzie Ozborn.

Ahh yes…your’e right…

Have you heard Ozzie sing the Bounty Hunter theme song?

Blondie all the way. Their 1999 cd “No Exit” is great. I also own their concert from 99 on dvd. Debbie Harry looks good to she lost some weight. Shes a hot mama… 😃

No, I’m not an Ozzie fan. I tend to ignore him as much as possible.🙂

don’t forget when Ronnie James Dio was there, he sang the mob rules.

Wasn’t “Love hurts” originally by Jim Capaldi, and Nazareth covered it?

Black Sabbath was originally formed in 1970. They were heavily blues-influenced, but their style is considered to be doom metal - quite possibly the first ever heavy metal band. I can’t remember, it was either their bassist or their drummer who was interested in the occult, and gave them some strange lyrics. They have released at least 10 albums, the first 6 with Ozzy and the rest with Dio. Paranoid, Iron Man and War Pigs, three of their best known hits, were from their second album ‘Paranoid’ (not that I’ve ever heard them being played on radio, I was born in 1985). Another popular song, from the Dio era, is ‘Heaven and Hell’.
