How 'bout the Fighting Virgins or the Mighty Handmaidens?

Things that would incite so much slander from other schools! Especially the virgins one, I cringe at the thought!

Just don’t do Eagles. That mascot has been clubbed to death. Angels would work, don’t know of many teams other than Anaheim’s baseball team that use that name. And since the School is Ave Maria, there’s some liberty as far as playing with the logo (both starting with A).

The Rock was good suggestion too. Especially when you have the the teams run out with The Rock’s WWE theme music playing. “IF YA SMELL… WHAT THE ROCK… IS COOKING!” Great entrance song, by the way

It depends on what translation you use. The Douay Rheims has dominations:

or the name could be simply “LIFE”

Another name - Unto God

Our Lady - can you imagine a Protestant annoucer or perhaps an atheist sportswriter having to deal with that one.

announcer - “A home run for OUR LADY!!”
headline - “OUR LADY WINS CHAMPIONSHIP!”

Okay, Teenage Zygotes got a laugh out of me, especially when i started thinking about their uniforms, and those of the cheerleaders, and so on.

Come to think of it, the unis for the Inquisition (and the Homecoming ‘auto-da-fe’ bonfire!) would be funny stuff too.
