Well I guess you should judge by yourself. Here is some info.

**First neither John Paul II nor any other pope has ever declared that Russia has been consecrated according to Our Lady’ Specific request. and we all know that the Pope consecrated the WORLD and not just RUSSIA to the Immaculate Heart. and that he didn’t perform the consecration in union with all the bishops.

AND the most important info (at least to me) is that previous popes have consecrated the world to the Immaculate heart. In 1942 Pope Pius XII consecrated the world in UNION WITH ALL BISHOPS. so how can JPII be moreeffective and qualify if he didn’t consecrate in union of all bishops Pius XII did consecration in 1952 where he only consecrated RUSSIA and he didn’t do it in union with all the bishops so again why would JPII be more effective since it was of the world and not in union with the bishops **

and i guess thats it… well thats all I needed to join the crusade…

I totally agree. It’s rather uncharitable.
I double-triple dare anyone who thinks that post was uncharitable, a slur or any such thing to report it.

I think the question is legitimate. Is it proper to have a rosary crusade for something that the Church has addressed. I really do not know the answer and do see no problem. However, if it were a rosary crusade for a legitimate Pope, would that be a good idea? How about a rosary crusade for Medigorgie to be accepted revelation?

Not that I want to doubt but I wish someone here could lead me to the website where Pope Benedict (“officially”) declared the Consecration of Russia ?

If this is true how come you don’t see this in the headlines in the Catholic media ?
The official Consecration of Russia is something monumental. This has not been made common news in my archdiocese. What gives ?
Here you go!
vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20000626_message-fatima_en.html

Now, if you want to believe JP II, B 16 & Sr. Lucia all lied then this will mean nothing to you.

I have reservations about whether or not we have recieved everything about the third secret, and I do believe Russia is still spreading her errors.
However, praying the rosary for something that Rome has said was already done is indeed calling the Pope a liar, and invoking our Lady’s name into it seems to me to be rather dangerous. Why not pray for Russia’s conversion or world peace? Do not desecrate the rosary by calling the Church a liar.

The SSPX has not left, according to both Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Castillon Hoyos. This idea that because one disagrees with someone or some group that THEY are the ones who are wrong and separated is the heretical notion here. It is high time people forgive, forget and move one with the business at hand instead of finger pointing and name calling. Sure there are differences, I understand where they are coming from and believe they have valid points. Remember what our Blessed Lord said in the Gospel of St. Matthew Chapter 3 Vs.s 1-7:

1 Judge not, that you may not be judged, 2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye? 4 Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

When the modernists and progressives are taken to task for the errors they are teaching, then you can try to make a valid point regarding schismatic “Traditionalist” groups. Until then, leave it up to our Blessed Lord and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I have not seen any name-calling or judgementalism, except for those who have judged JKirkLVNV, unfairly, I might add.

I might also add your use of “heretical” in this, since the action you discribe is not a matter of doctrine.

The consecration has already been made. They’ll never make it back if they cannot accept the OF and VII. More of the same.

lol, did you watch the video ?

The OF and VII has nothing to do with the Rosary Crusade. Nether does sedevacantism or the farce in Bosnia.

I’ve said it before. H.H. sews the seeds of healing of the division, and instead of watering them, some choose to urinate on them.

When a group of clergy asks we pray the Rosary for the Consecration, and then, acknowledges that there are those who believe it has already been consecrated, and requests they direct their intentions our Holy Father if that be the case, I think that is a good thing. And I think throwing any sort of comment towards the request that Rosaries be prayed, with the intent of pooh poohing the request, is an insult to Our Lady. It’s a bad call.

Discouraging participation in this Crusade is a swipe not only at the Society itself, but also an insult to St Dominic, St Lucia, and H.H.

H.H. asked in his first Homily as Pope, we pray for him. The SSPX has asked us to pray for him. To let words roll off the tongue that would discourage this is appalling. It’s wrong. Dead wrong.

Name calling seems to be a back and forth favorite among these forums, at least in times past. Not necessarily in this particular thread.

I’m not directly accusing any particular individual of heresy here, that would be uncharitable and not very Christ-like.

Modernism is a heresy condemned by Holy, Mother Church. We are experiencing the effects of that heresy run wild in present-day society. People CHOOSE to ignore the Magesterium of the Church prior to the second Vatican Council who in the strongest terms condemned Modernism and Progressive thought/actions. The implementation of the council was derailed and many would be happy to let it remain as is or continue down the path. I am not writing this to condemn any individual person, only acts which for many years have been seen as anti-Christian.

There are two sides to this fight, the side of Good and the side of Evil. We each have to choose that which we will line up behind. Did the fathers of the council truly expect us to throw away nearly 2000 years of both Divine and Ecclesial Tradition, did they really expect us to ignore all the documents, councils, everything prior to the second Vatican council? I say NO, only Satan himself would say yes to that. He may have been loosed on earth, but he can NEVER win.

The Church was built on the rock of St. Peter, by Our Blessed Lord himself, It can and will NEVER fall. Never stop studying, don’t forget there are church teachings going back over 1500 years before the second Vatican council which for the council to be read properly must every one of them be taken into account. In order to truly know what the council said, you need to know what the previous 20 councils said. If you are interested, here is a site with the council documents from all 21 councils piar.hu/councils/

I will say whatever you have been told prior about the second Vatican council, please take the time, read it for yourself, know what it say and then apply it along with the previous 20 councils to your daily life.

Thank you for posting this, and thanks for the link.

Our Holy Father agrees with you it seems.
But some of those who put themselves forward as great defenders of the Council also need to be reminded that Vatican II embraces the entire doctrinal history of the Church. Anyone who wishes to be obedient to the Council has to accept the faith professed over the centuries, and cannot sever the roots from which the tree draws its life.

Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam catholicam, Sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.

Pater noster, qui es in coelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in coelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie. Et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem: sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum; benedicta tu in mulieribus, et bendictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Ave Maria…

Ave Maria…

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

Let the nay-sayers say nay. They said ‘nay’ to the lifting of the excommunications. His Holiness lifted them anyway. They said 'nay to the liberation of the Mass of the Ages. His Holiness liberated it anyway. The nay-sayers don’t–isn’t it obvious?–know the mind of the Pope, or the power of this prayer–which was given to us by an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary–whose apparitions, according to at least one nay-sayer on this thread we are under no obligation to believe. Yes, let the nay-sayers say nay. We will Pray the Rosary.

Pray the Rosary for the Concecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, by the His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, in union with all the Bishops of the world.

As an aside, I must apologize for having gotten so off topic. I should have watched the video the original poster gave us and then commented.

I applaud the SSPX’s efforts at trying to get Catholic praying. I am sure the only way to defeat the evil one is through prayer. I do not believe 12 million rosaries is going to be enough, but it most surely is a start. We must pray for the Holy Father, for the Church as a whole and in this year of the Priest, for our Priest.

The Rosary is most definitely a favorite of mine as I have come to love the Blessed Mother as my own. I think this will be a fruitful crusade and will do my own little part to help.

For anyone so interested, here is a link to a site which has the prayers in both English and Latin. themostholyrosary.com/ as well as further information about the Rosary.

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum; Benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

St. Dominic, Pray for us
St. Thomas Aquinas, Pray for us
St. Louis De Montfort, Pray for us

No. I do not watch youtube videos. It is good to remember that not everyone has access to this “news” source. You may not see the connection and thereby avoided answering, but the Church has addressed this issue and it is a valid question, assuming the request for a Rosary crusade also addressed those to pray for the Holy Father instead of Medigourge (for example). The issue is not whether the Rosary should be prayed, but rather should we leave the judgement of such matters to the Church.

I say that it should be a matter left to the Church and we should defer to our leadership. Others do not. Pope Benedict has declared this is the Year of the Priest. Should a group with another point of view declare that it is instead the Year of Reconcilliation (for example)? No. I do not see this as critical enough to justify dissent.

I do thank you for bringing more information to light about this video and encourage all that link to such sources to take time to give a little synopsis for those of us that do can not youtube.

That may be why it is counfusing. Perhaps the negativity expressed was a continuation of resentment from elsewhere. I for one do not care that this was an SSPX video. My opinion was about the issue, not the group. I see that one may view this differently than I. I simply do not consider it all that big of a deal one way or another. However, in light of Pope Benedict’s announcement, I will offer all Rosaries this year for vocations and support of our priests.
