Ok I hope i spelled every thing right this time here is my new poll. What is you’re favorite music :bounce:

My two favorite are:

Classical: Mozart, Beethoven, etc.
Country: More of the roudy type like Toby Keith

Nope, country is still spelled wrong. I put other: Christian, though I spend most of my time listening to the Catholic radio station (not really any music).

u2 - joss stone - dido - hootie (1st album) - rich mullins - plumb - michelle branch - u2 - sting - matchbox 20 - rachel lampa - greenday - barenaked ladies - u2 - some kylie minogue (‘slow’ for example) - and most of what was popular from 1996 to 1999 (what i call ‘the golden era’ of music):

for example (from that time):
‘one headlight’
‘save tonight’
‘torn’
‘if you could only see’
‘barely breathing’
‘the freshman’

What do I pick for “oldies”? (ie, 50s, 60s, early 70s)
You remember all the Motown groups, British Invasion, Elvis, Byrds, Turtles, 4Seasons, BeachBoys, Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, etc.

Oldies is the best music ever. I dont know why so many dont like it.

I like so much music. Tops are rock, classic rock, classical, rap (clean only), and blues. I also like some experimental.

Rock:
Third Eye Blind
Get Up Kids
Switchfoot
Millencollin
Relient K

Classic Rock:
Grateful Dead
The Doors
The Band
Van Morrison
Little Feat
Eric Clapton

Blues:
BB King
Stevie Ray Vaughn

Experimental:
The Mars Volta
Modest Mouse
Portishead

Rap:
Deltron
Jurassic 5
Atmosphere
All Natural

Other:
Deathcab for Cutie
The Postal Service

And that’s just to name a few. I love music. I pretty much have it going all the time. And I’m really not picky, there are only a few things that I don’t like and refuse to listen to. I need to pick up a Jeff Anderson CD. I heard him on the local Christian radio station and really liked what I heard.

I love the music you just listed (particularly CCR 👍 ) A lot of guys I know have really been going back to classic rock. It is just soooo good. It’s tough to find original new music these days.

My favorite music is an eclectic mix of artists:Gorrillas, Linkin Park, Big n’ Rich, CHarlie Daniels, AC/DC, Metallica, Johnny Cash and Nirvana and that’s only a few of them.:tiphat:

My Favs: Metallica, Eminem ( ), Linkin Park, Zeppelin…that’s all I can think of right now.

Broadway showtunes… my new fav is from Wicked the Musical. Also like Seussical the Musical.

Other - mercyme, Michael W Smith, Chris Rice, to name only a few.

Just about all the categories listed in the poll have some good songs as well (all but Rap IMO), but I pick and choose and have become more choosy in my old age. 🙂

I listen to hard rock and country. But so much hard rock is just gloomy. I don’t enjoy that. I have enjoyed bands like Creed extensively and enjoy a variety of country like Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, and Montgomery Gentry.

Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah, Mystical, Insane Clown Posse, Tupak, Ludacris, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
