Is anyone familiar with a program called New Wine? It’s some sort of adult education program?

I seem to recall about 30 years ago this was a renewal program in some Lutheran Churches. There was also a book by that title.
 
Do you have a link or something for me to look at so I can respond with my thoughts? Or is this some kind of nostalgic flashback?:confused:

Not to critizize, but if you want an objective POV, maybe you should give us all some kind of groundwork to go from?
 
I’m not really sure myself. I was at our parish’s ministry fair and the Education Committee was touting some program called New Wine. I haven’t heard of it before and was wondering if it was something that was used elsewhere.

I am curious, I will see if its listed on my diocese site…

Sorry if my post was pushy. I always get a tad suspicuios of “new” things…
 
Our Parish has this program. From what I understand it is an intense 2-year study of the Catholic faith. One woman who helps out in RCIA went through it and she was very knowledgable (and orthodox). They lead you through the Bible and the Catechism and several other books. I trust our priests in regard to orthodoxy (and the orthodoxy of several people who went through the program) so I wouldn’t worry unless it seems like the people running the program are…off.
 
I wouldn’t recommended putting it into old wineskins. Might burst.
