After his wife died of cancer, he faced two options, yield to the pain, or do something about it. Then this assistant city manager walked through uptown, handing out notes, his two children at his side, each note “containing the story of love and life we had.” My hope is that they’ll reflect on the love in their life. “What I wouldn’t give to have one more minute” with her. Some people reacted very positively.

What a unique gesture of love in memory of his deceased wife. Maybe this story or those receiving notes will be inspired to write a love note of their own to a living loved one to enjoy.
