The selling of abortion to the American public goes back many decades. Around the time of Apollo 11, President Nixon established the Commission of Population Growth and the American Future with Rockefeller chairing the commission.
This report on population growth was used as the war cry against the “Y2K population explosion” that was supposed to render the earth unable to support human beings due to lack of resources from overpopulation. (As we approach 2020, many cultures are facing a demographic winter and below-replacement birth levels.)
Rockefeller and his cronies knew that the government had to get the “buy-in” from the American people on the issues of sex education, free family planning programs that paid for contraceptives and sterilization, and tax payer funded abortion. They knew the average American couple opposed these issues of sex ed., sterilization/contraceptives, and abortion.

The report detailed to Congress and Executive agencies the necessary steps to implement programs to decrease population growth by getting the average American couple to limit their family size to fewer numbers of children. Readers can also see the commission’s bias toward minorities in the creation of these government programs that were designed to directly reduce births to minority populations.
So, the clinic owner is telling the truth. Sex education programs, family planning services, and abortion services all go hand-in-hand to reduce births and keep the population from expanding. Now that the birth rate is lower than replacement, we’ve moved on to climate change as the next scare tactic that has people refusing to even have 1 child.
I don’t agree with the commission, but then again, I’m a GenX that sees through it’s biased rhetoric.
Supposedly the Bishops had formulated some kind of proposed response to legalized abortion. If it is true, then the church really failed its mission.

This is why I beleive that we need to promote the virtue of chastity, not just ‘abstinence’ or monogamy but chastity as a positive virtue that should be valued.
