Newt Gingrich Warns of ‘Gay Fascism’

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich warns that a “gay and secular fascism” in the U.S. is prepared to use violence to impose its will on the rest of the country.
Appearing on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” on Nov. 14, Gingrich and host Bill O’Reilly discussed the recently passed California ballot initiative, Proposition 8, amending the state constitution to ban same-sex marriage.
O’Reilly cited the protests by gay activists that broke out after the vote and troubling incidents associated with them, including a woman who had a cross knocked out of her hand and a Michigan church invaded by gay activists.
Gingrich responded: “I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I think it is prepared to use the government if it can get control of it. I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion. And I think if you believe in historic Christianity, you have to confront the fact.”

This threat is very real.

They showed a clip this morning on Fox news of a protester hitting a 67 yo woman carrying a cross… truly despicable!

We have been saying this for years, and not just about the gay marriage issue… this country has come to cater to the minority… It is no longer majority rule in this country, I blame the stupid notion of political correctness.

I am convinced that we have been seeing a transition into a new stage in the age-old war between light and darkness.
Things are getting more intense on both sides. Do not be surprised to increasing more lashing out against Christians and traditional morality. We must fight the good fight and stand up for our beliefs. We need to pray hard for holy priests to lead us in battle, holy religious, and holy laity to raise up good, joy-filled and fruitful families to the glory of God.
The devil hates every new baby that comes into this world. He hates life. His goal is to destroy all that is good, true and beautiful.
As the darkness gets darker, evangelization gets easier in a sense. Much harder to live in this world, but the contrast between beauty and joy and truth of the Holy Spirit with the darkness will be much more evident.
OK, I’ll stop preaching now 🙂

LOL, are you serious? I saw this headline online somewhere and I thought it was a joke. I just read the stuff and it’s still a joke.

Heh, I’m not sure Newt is the guy most Christians need to be following anywhere from a moral standpoint… also realize that Newt needs to go back to school in regards to his language. Fascism is a right-wing ideology, not a left wing. Thus, just FYI for those who don’t know, someone can’t be a “Commie Fascist” no matter how cool or funny you think it sounds. People who say stuff like that just look stupid.

The real point is that democracy isn’t the “will of the people” if it violates the constitution.

Lets turn the tide a little. Most Americans believe in a woman’s right to choose. Thus if we held an election to pass FOCA it would most likely pass with ease. Do you believe that is right?

Lets also go back 40 years to the civil rights movement. Many of the legislation passed and rights granted, which we now all see as correct, would have lost if “voted” upon.

Now I’m not saying that I believe Gay Marriage is the same as interracial… not in the least.

My point would be though that technically, from a Catholic standpoint, the Government can’t marry us anyway, only the Church can. Thus why don’t we just let the Government do Civil unions for everyone. That takes care of the legal stuff and removes the thought’s that anyone is treated any differently.

As we state here often, the Government has the ability to split civil property etc… but can not dissolve a marriage. Lets just make that the law and be done with it.

Presents as equality for everyone I’m sure even Ellen would agree…

Joe is highly incorrect in calling “fascism” right wing. Mussolini founded the fascist party in Italy after leaving the socialist party in Italy. He did NOT want to use the word socialist because of the connotation of Soviet Socialism. He wanted his own brand of socialism, just as Hitler was a National Socialist. The term “Nazi” was not even a German word. The name of the party in Germany was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP). Hitler was a socialist, Mussolini was a socialist just as Stalin and Lenin were socialists, albeit of their own version of dictatorial socialism which is inherently what socialism becomes. The reason why Mussolini chose the word “fascism” is because it meant to “pull together” after the word fascia. He was without question of a doubt, a socialist.

So please Joe, get your facts straight and learn a little bit about what socialism and fascism are before you type.

By the way many of Hitler’s Brown Shirts were homosexuals.

Yes, this threat is very real and it is something that we must fight against and pray against very hard.
