I have allergies and sometimes my nose runs … the likes of which highly resembles fertile-type mucus. When I’m having an allergy attack ALL of my mucus membranes are like faucets and then I noticed the other day that when I took Sudafed for my head that my nether region dried up as well. So now I’m completely confused and can’t decide if what I’m seeing vaginally is due to allergies or if it’s fertile. My temps are no help - they pop up and down by 0.3 and 0.4 daily this month. My chart looks like the peaks of the rockies. I bought an OvaCue and it said that I’ve already ovulated. Does anyone else have this issue? I’m two months in to charting and ready to throw the clipboard through the window.

Yes, it’s likely that it’s stress due to my upcoming wedding, but in the grand scheme of things I’ve had worse. I’ve made sure I was consistent this month taking temps at the same time every morning.

Grrrr. Help?

UGH, I’ve had bad allergy issues in my life, so I totally sympathize.
Yes, Sudafed will definitely dry you up… and medications like Mucinex (guaifenesin, Robitussin) will increase your mucous everywhere.

My advice… check your cervical position. This shouldn’t be affected by the medications.
Also… from my own personal experience… consider seeing an allergist! I had horrible allergies my entire life… and when I went to the allergist and had the full scratch test done and started getting weekly shots (yes, quite an investment of time to go there every week for the first year)… but my allergy recovery has been INCREDIBLE… I went from horrific allergy attacks and constant medications to total relief! I maybe take allergy medication a couple times a month… that’s it! Not multiple times a day anymore!

So consider seeing an allergist… it may help make NFP 1000% easier! 😃

Hope that helps!
