Hey, I’ve done a good bit of research and have come up with very little on this subject. I have two questions I am trying to answer:

1.) Did any of the early Church fathers approve or condemn what is known as natural family planning?

2.) Did any of the early Church fathers specify any other end for marriage than procreation (at least as a primary end).

So far, I’ve only been able to find one reference in St. Augustine which is thought to condemn NFP as being equivalent to contraception. Anyone know of any good discussion? I am looking through Noonan’s book on Contraception as well. Thanks
