NFP:fertility monitor?

Hello, I’m currently using the Billings method to avoid conceiving right now. We’ve used Billings before but my cycles are a little irregular at the moment and I’m considering using a fertility monitor. I quite like the look of the Persona model or the Clear Blue. Any thoughts or advice very much appreciated. Does anyone here combine Billings with a monitor?🙂
 
Marquette Model NFP combines Creighton with the fertility monitor. Just google Marquette Model NFP.
 
I just found out, through reading different threads here, it depends on how irregular your cycles are.

Can anyone confirm this? If your cycles are really long, you shouldn’t use Marquette? I mean long, as in 40 - 60 days.

A while back (a year or so ago) the Marquette website had the instruction manuals available on line. They might still be available.

I understand woman can use Marquette during breastfeeding, so it should be possible with longer cycles.

This is what they post about longer than 42 day cycles.
he ClearBlue monitor is designed to monitor cycles up to 42 days in length. If you have cycles longer than 42 days, please consult with your NFP nurse for a special long cycle protocol. See instruction below for managing long cycles with cervical mucus monitoring.

So it looks like you can use it past 42 days, but only if you have an instructor Marquette. 😦

Thanks for the advice! I will look into Marquette in more detail. I’m not sure if I will find an instructor as I don’t live in the US but will see what is available and investigate online. I’ve had a look at the Persona instructions. You can only use if cycles are between 23 and 35 days. My cycles should fit with either hopefully:)
