NFP is not the problem

Great article! I especially identified with "…it requires husband and wife to communicate more about a potentially difficult issue than they would otherwise. Learning these skills can naturally spill over into other parts of their lives."
 
Yuppers. I’ve long held that NFP is much like a canary in a coal mine. It gives you an early warning if there are problems in your marriage.

But if you ignore the problems (i.e. the dead canary), NFP use isn’t going to save your marriage. It’s only beneficial if you use the early warning as a help to identify and fix your marital problems that are giving you difficulty practicing NFP.
