I’m new to this, so bear with me.

I was just wondering if anyone out there who has been practicing NFP, has tried the
Marquette University Method and if they have had success or not?
My wife and I have just had our 3rd child and believe that we are done.
Not real big fans of the traditional methods of NFP and found this new Method.
Would like some feed back Please!

Yes, my wife and I have used it for about a year and find it to be a great method! It seems like the best choice – it’s based on science and uses modern technology. The online charting system and the help forums there are also good.

I didn’t know about the online charting and forums.
I’ll look into those. Thanks

My husband and I use Marquette, we even participated in some of the research.I have a serious medical condition and the extra confirmation of peak with the monitor eases hubby’s mind.

That’s what we are looking for, piece of mind.
We have friends and family that have trouble with
Fertility, that has not been our experience. We seem
To be very fertile. So at this point we are kind of
Nervous and some what reluctant to …“enjoy each other’s
Company” lol. We are hoping this helps us. We want to
Do things gods way!

Honestly, there’s no more peace of mind than the little monitor sign. If you’re looking for the highest accuracy, you wait until three days post peak and then “enjoy.” With a typical cycle, you’ll still have plenty of days.

In Creighton method it is end of the 4th day post peak

NFPWife do you know the success rate of this method, being
You took part in some of the research? My wife is currently breastfeeding
Our 4month old and so far the reading has been low since
We have started. We are following the Marquette method on
How to use the monitor while breastfeeding. So we haven’t had
A true cycle yet.

Some people call peak 1 then go 2,3,4. (Disclaimer - this may not be true Marquette now, it’s how we learned.) I call the first Peak - “peak”, then peak+1 Peak+2 Peak+3 then use the next day.

On efficacy - from the Marquette website - “A recent (2007) study published in the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing demonstrated a 97-98% efficacy of the MM in avoiding pregnancy when taught by a qualified teacher and correctly applied.”

Check out nfp.marquette.edu/ if you haven’t already.
