I missed Mass a fortnight ago, I didn’t want t miss it but it was somewhat out of my control, last week I was working so I wanted to get to confession today but there is none. Next weekend I am working so I will have to wait until the following Saturday but that will be Holy Saturday and probably no confessions again.

I hope I don’t die this month.

It is my understanding that missing Mass for reasons out of your control does not constitute sin.

God keep you in good health, and grant you long life.

It is only a mortal sin to miss mass on purpose. If it was out of your control, then you are fine.

Nelka, what I would do if I could not go to Confession on a certain Saturday, I would go to the rectory during the week and ask if Father would hear my confession. I found they were more than happy to “help”. Also Nelka with Easter coming up you want to make your Easter duty. Even if it is in the evening go to the rectory.

I will remember you during Holy Week. God bless you/

If you actually have a mortal sin, and you have perfect contrition, then you can make an personal act perfect contrition.

Catechism
1452 When it arises from a love by which God is loved above all else, contrition is called “perfect” (contrition of charity). Such contrition remits venial sins; it also obtains forgiveness of mortal sins if it includes the firm resolution to have recourse to sacramental confession as soon as possible.51

You didn’t intentionally choose not to go to Mass. You missed it due to factors outside your control. You haven’t sinned.

As has already been said above, if you missed mass due to circumstances and reasons beyond your control, that is not sinful. If you intentionally missed mass, then that is sinful.

When we have committed a mortal sin, we are to go to confession at the next opportunity. If the next opportunity for you is two weeks away, make a perfect act of contrition. This is sufficient to obtain forgiveness of mortal sins when you are unable to get to confession, provided that you have the intention of confessing at the next opportunity.

I second Anna’s advice.

Make an appointment if you are able. If it is something you believe is serious, and you don’t []attempt[] to schedule an appointment (if you are able) so that you do not delay confession, that probably enters territory where the delay is itself sinful.

Otherwise, pray to God; ask his forgiveness. He loves you.

OP. Several parishes add extra opportunities for going to Confession in the next two weeks.

Unintentionally missing Mass isn´t a sin.

Also, remember that God loves you and He isn´t at any time unreasonable. He doesn´t have people going to hell without a just reason. Never forget that He died on the cross for you, He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

Say a prayer tonight and thank God for his neverending love for you and ask Him to give you peace in your heart, and the grace to rely on His words and promises.

If these concerns occur often, then you should consider speaking with your priest.
