No one is Perfect

Is that an excuse to condone sin or not becoming a saint? Jesus commands us to be perfect like our father in Heaven is perfect.

Of course we are not perfect, but that is no excuse not to ask for God’s grace and then to cooperate with it until we get to as close to perfect as we can!

It’s not a valid excuse but one I hear nonetheless.

It is a true statement, but it is often misused by the reprobate to excuse their sinful behavior. Just because we are imperfect, that doesn’t mean God doesn’t expect us to try to be perfect.
