I come from a non practicant family. I converted by myself. My father once called me a fanatic, my brother is an atheist and my mother is a more complicated cause. She goes to Mass but I think she is doing it for me but, when I told her that tomorrow (8th of Decembre) we had to go because it’s a feast day she said she wouldn’t go because she was busy and lazy to go at the 8 AM Mass. I warned her but she won’t come. Later at home she argued with dad and she said that was tired of asking God to do something about it and I told her that she was someone who ask God for things just for benefit and don’t obbey him or really love him (something that the Priest mentioned today at the homily).
When I came home, a friend of us who came for dinner said that he’ll support me but if I became a priest he’d kick me in the balls as a joke. Even though I don’t wanna be a priest I hate that people think that being a teenager and going to Mass means that you’ll be a priest.
About my friends, none of them are practicant except for my Confirmation godfather that just started to come to Mass every sunday and another friend of mine who I don’t really see that much.
Now I feel alone, unsupported and I am in a bad relationship with my mother. I just feel miserable.
