I’m told that theologians believe that in Heaven time does not exist, If time does not exist in Heaven doesn’t that mean our souls are currently in Heaven or hell as you read this.

if time does not exist then everything is frozen solid.

Well my understanding is the soul is more like energy and has no mass, so I don’t know if energy can be frozen.

^ Energy is defined as the ability to do work. Work requires time.

In Heaven we will no longer have body, that only leave us as been energy. That also explains why we can not be married or given in marriage in heaven.

But I did look up the definition of energy and your right, and thinking it over it’s true. I ponder why they say that time doesn’t exist in Heaven, got to give more thought**.

Thanks A**gnosTheist 😉

because theologians are not scientists and they dont really know what time is.

In fact in the bible you can read that in heaven differents events occur. That means the passage of time.

As God created time, then he is not subject to the rules of it. I have theorized before that God is the ultimate time traveler. Time, space, matter, energy are 4 known quantifiable ingredients. Who is say that a universe may just have 3 of these components and maybe another (like faith).

Another school of thought is multi-universes may be on a different time scale than us and what seems to be a second here may be as a 1000 years and another multi-verse may be the opposite.

I have heard before that the Mass when it is said actually is the Crucifixtion, not a re-inactment but you are actually at the foot of the Cross. As to the validity of that, I will defer to the scholars, but I think it is possible as all things are possible with God.

Time in reality what is it anyway but a point of reference for 2 events? A plane flying overhead at 600 mph looks like he is going at a snail’s pace. Why couldn’t God look at things the same way?

That is my understanding that God is out of time and space, and I thought, we to must be out of time and space, but as AgnosTheist pointed out that does not make sense.

As God created time
No religious scripture say that. Not the bible, not the koran, not the book of mormons.

Even if God sees it that way it still implies the passage of time for God.

It think it can be summed up as God has a different understanding and experience of time than we do. Same with spacial understanding.

We cannot comprehend, intellectually, an infinite universe. Same thing with time. Let’s take the time before the creation story; there was nothing then. How do we comprehend total nothingness, including the non-passage of time? We can’t. 🤷
