Pease clarify your point.
Hi Slave of God: I would have to think that a miracle is a matter of faith, regardless of what religion you follow. While some religions have processes, procedures and the like to verify or disprove miracles, ultimately, these councils or processes achieve neither. It boils down to a matter of faith, so I am thinking what is the point? To me, even having such processes is the result of a lack of faith. I’ll explain why.

In the end, a miracle is only an event that defies common conventions of understanding. The fact that there is a huge cosmic organism teaming with planets coursing paths through countless solar systems, and galaxies, and perhaps commingling with countless other universes, where all things work in common dependency is the miracle of God in itself. In light of such an achievement, it is pointless to speculate as to whether or not God comes to some obscure planet on the edge of an average galaxy to perform parlor tricks. The miracle is the stage, not the trick performed on it. Since all things are created by God, then both the explainable and unexplainable occur only because of God. Even the imaginings or a deluded mind exist not outside the realm of what God has created or made possible. The point? If one has faith, then the natural world, the mundane everyday event, the seemingly miraculous - all things are made possible by God. Without putting words into Bosnian Muslims mouth, this is why I agree.

I think the main reason to have a process or procedure to verify miracles is to prevent people faking miracles for some kind of personal gain.

Hi Bluegoat: I certainly understand and agree. Even in the face of evidence, there is always doubt, and in the face of a lack of evidence there is always hope. As you said, the problem is with people who would lie about a miracle for gain. It’s like the Shroud of Turin. They can never prove it’s real, and even so, for some reason I just think it’s real. I don’t know why, but I do. I guess that’s the hope part.

Thanks for the response.

I believe the “milk-slurping statues” may have been a result of surface tension, as some have seen colored milk running down the statues on the same day as part of an analyzation of it. Either way, kinda odd.
It was surface tension, I remember seeing it. But it was obvious to the observer, they were crazy to not figure it out.

who can give us links or information about Hinduism, Wicca, Greco-Roman, etc miracles ? I am still waiting.

Hi Slave of God: If you are willing to commit to showing respect to the memory of saints from other faiths (as those of us of other faiths have done here with Christian saints), I will be glad to send you reference material. By showing respect, I mean in the tone of our comments, not implying that you would have to believe in any of them.

I’ve been witnessed to a handful in my life probably none that would be accepted here. Rain when there wasn’t a cloud to be found and really REALLY needed rain.

The gods appearing in the flesh.

An once finding a twenty dollar bill just laying in the floor board of my in plain view and no way for it to get there, right as I needed twenty dollars desperately.

Does the Holy spirit help them?
let’s find out.
Yes, there are fakes in any religion, and there are lots of those people running around. Miracles don’t produce themselves at will like magic. One should always be careful of things that are presented as spectacle, because as I said before, I doubt if God has an interest in parlor tricks. The second thing to look out for are people who take money or even tell you they can demonstrate a miracle. That is not what miracles are about. I don’t expect to see Jesus on a piece of toast or Mary in a screen door any time soon, but I do think there are plenty of Christian miracles in spite of that, don’t you?

You don’t believe in Christian miracles? I do, but I can’t show you one, because I can’t do miracles.

Hi Slave of God: I read your message again and I’m not sure I fully understand it. Can you clarify what it is you are asking me for? I had said that I believe in Christian miracles and it seems you asked me to show you some, but I’m confused. I had assumed that since you were Christian that you did believe in miracles. I took it that you had understood that while I do believe in Christian miracles, I also believe in others as well. So, can you clarify if you believe in miracles and what you mean by showing you some?
