Have you brought this to the attention of the parish’s Priest?

There could be a family that might be able to pick you up and bring you back home after Mass, have you inquired?

Please do not compare yourself to others.

It is man’s way of fighting God; man will align himself with the unrighteous and disobedient before considering aligning himself with God.

Offer this to the Lord; He will Lift you up!

It has been getting better I have decided to walk the mile to one parish two times a month and my cousin will drive me to the other one the other two times The one that I will be driven to is in my old neighborhood that I grew up in and that I feel a connection to but I really need to get used to going to the parish that I will walk to I was able to explain why Catholics do things a certain way and I was also able to explain some of the mass and that we do read much scripture during mass.

Just wanted to say that I can really relate to your post. I’ve been in situations in the past where it was hard to get to Mass because I did not have a ride/ family opposition. Now that I have access to a vehicle I would totally drive someone in the same situation. You are in my prayers :hugs:

I wanted to share with you that this too (walking the distance) can be offered up to God. Mom, as a young woman (in her early teens) got up hours before sunrise to walk to the nearest town (she lived in back-country) so that she could make it to Mass; she lived an exemplary life, always connected to the Holy Eucharist–her favorite motto was “En Voz confío.” (“I trust in You.”) God was her strength, her goal, her economy!

I have been doing that especially triusting in the Lord. A priest told me to trust in the Lord because he is always faithful.

Yes!

Here’s something I learned from mom… even when we do not see/know/understand it, God is actually taking onto Himself our offerings (may they be joy or sadness or persecution); it is why St. Paul said this:
9 And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful. (2 Corinthians 12)
…and Scriptures Reveal that:
24 For we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope. For what a man seeth, why doth he hope for? 25 But if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God. 28 And we know that to them that love God, all things work together unto good, to such as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints. 29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be made conformable to the image of his Son; that he might be the firstborn amongst many brethren. (Romans 8)
So take heart, you are not alone!
