Non-Catholics, Baptism, and Mortal Sin

If a non-Catholic wishes to become a part of the Catholic Church, attends all required RCIA classes, but is guilty of what would be considered mortal sin, would the sacrament of Baptism wash his or her sins away along with Original sin? Obviously this person cannot go to confession since they are not yet properly received into the Church.
 
Yes, baptism washes away ALL sin, original and personal…as well as ALL punishment, Eternal and Temporal…

Assuming that the person was not validly baptized (or baptized at all) prior to his entry into the Church, yes. However, we profess one baptism for the remission of sins, so converts like myself from protestant ecclesial communities who were validly baptized MUST go to confession to be worthy to receive the sacred mysteries of Holy Communion and Confirmation.
