Would it be wrong if you are a Catholic woman who will not practice any birth control and you marry a non baptized man knowing that he will practice birth control by withdrawal or other types of methods?
What can you do?Would it be wrong if you are a Catholic woman who will not practice any birth control and you marry a non baptized man knowing that he will practice birth control by withdrawal or other types of methods?
I don’t think any serious Catholic woman would enter a marriage like that. Contraception is degrading… to be in bed with ones husband if he was acting sinfully like that… that would be a major turn off. I would suppose that two people who plan to get married will work out this issue beforehand and the non-catholic spouse would promise to go along with the Catholic sexual ethics. I know I wouldn’t marry a man who would do those things you mention in the marriage bed.Would it be wrong if you are a Catholic woman who will not practice any birth control and you marry a non baptized man knowing that he will practice birth control by withdrawal or other types of methods?
If the woman agrees to a sexual relationship knowing it will not be open to life then she is just as complicit and just as morally culpable in the act of contraception as the man. It takes two to tango and the woman is at fault if she agrees to a marital relationship that goes against her conscience. It’s not a one-way thing, if the woman agrees to sex in that situation then she is agreeing to the birth control. A woman truly devoted to the Church teachings on the matter would not enter into a marriage knowing that she would not be able to follow those teachings.Would it be wrong if you are a Catholic woman who will not practice any birth control and you marry a non baptized man knowing that he will practice birth control by withdrawal or other types of methods?
I am Catholic and my husband is a non-practicing christian. We used ABC after we got married because I was naive on the teachings of the Church. When I realized that I was committing a grave act, I immediately spoke to my two favorite priests who advised me to stop using ABC within the month. I stopped that day. I thought my husband would be terribly upset but I must say he has handled it better then I could have ever imagined. Not to say that he fully understands it or agrees with it…but he knows how much my faith means to me. I think I am a pretty lucky girl.Yes…it is intrinsically evil action -one contrary to the very nature of marriage, love and the very marital act.
So get that cleared up way before marriage!
(now can if one gets put into such a situation after one is married there can be more that can be said so far as material cooperation etc…one in such a situation would discuss the matter with their confessor (there was a document issued to advise in these problems)
I would add that it is a very different thing in the terms of my bottom comment…when it is an abortofacient…Yes…it is intrinsically evil action -one contrary to the very nature of marriage, love and the very marital act.

As the question is phrased, that would be an invalid, or nonexistent, marriage. For a Catholic wedding to be valid, the couple must be open to receiving children.Would it be wrong if you are a Catholic woman who will not practice any birth control and you marry a non baptized man knowing that he will practice birth control by withdrawal or other types of methods?
That’s not true. First of all, it wouldn’t be a sacramental marriage in the first place since the man is not baptized and second of all, it would only be invalid if you planned on never having kids at all.As the question is phrased, that would be an invalid, or nonexistent, marriage.
