Question for ya: how can you trust the individual Catholic to properly interpret the Catechism? IOW, how do you guarantee that the Devil won’t do the same thing with the Cathechism that he does with the Scriptures? 🤷
We trust The Church Magisterium to teach us correctly, individual Catholics may in turn individually teaches the truth as long as they don’t teach something else outside what the Magisterium teaches. If one has doubt, we can always verify with Church authority.

I do not know what you mean when you state “the Devil won’t do the same thing with the Cathechism that he does with the Scriptures?” What did the Devil do with the Scriptures? OT or NT? During NT days, I believe when Holy Scriptures are mentioned, they refer primarily to OT scriptures specifically Septuagint version. Also, Matthew 5:18 says “For verily I say unto you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, one iota or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all come to pass.”

No one can guarantee what the Devil going to do, but Christ can guarantee that the gates of hell shall not prevail against HIS Church. Christ knows that his Church teaches though its Cathechism, so I trust he will know how to protect his Church against the gates of hell. We don’t worry how he does it.
