hi, I am a Lutheran and my husband was born Catholic. We were civially married, and I have gone through RCIA, but my husband does not see the need to be blessed in the church (he goes to church and believes in God, but he doesn’t necessarily follow the Catholic “rules”). When I went through RCIA I couldn’t enter the church because we weren’t blessed. It has been a few years since I have been through RCIA.
My thing is I am thinking of going back to my old church because I can’t receive communion, etc. I can’t fully be involved with masses and other things in the church.
What if God forbid something happens to me and I am not able to go through confession (b/c) I am not Catholic - will God hold that against me?
