South Bend, IN – The president of the University of Notre Dame is again defending his decision to invite pro-abortion President Barack Obama to give the college’s commencement address. In a new statement, Rev. John Jenkins refuses to back down in the face of a document from the nation’s Catholic bishops.

Looks like stubbornness and pride have taken over. The president being allowed to speak because he is not catholic is a loop-hole. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong.

Amen. The fact that he consulted canon law lawyers speaks volumes.

I hope Fr. Jenkins can consult cannon lawyers when he has to answer for his actions in front of Jesus on his judgment day!

I don’t think we will be able to say anything except “MERCY!” (Thank you Fr. Groeschel!)

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Yes, it shows he’s interested in other opinions and perspectives, and consults those with expertise that he does not have. It shows he’s not just acting on his own personal judgment.

Amen, indeed.

The only true opinion that matters is that of the local ordinary. I believe that the bishops view has been made very clear. No further interpretation are needed.

We can always pray for a newly found,“well formed conscience” to over ride these attempts at explaining the need to follow relativism.
