In US today we celebrate the very well-known St. Mother Frances X. Cabrini, the first US saint, who devoted her life to helping poor immigrants. But there is another newer saint with a feast day today whom I also like: St. Agostina Pietrantoni, a Vincentian Sister of Charity who worked in a hospital in Rome and was murdered by a mentally ill patient in 1894. I posted about her last year, so I link my post from then and also add another link I found about her with more illustrations.

Today is the feast in US of the well-known St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, who is generally known as the first US saint to be canonized.
