Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today, some of us are continuing the 33 Day Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, which began yesterday with 12 days of seeking to “empty ourselves of the spirit of the world which is opposed to the Spirit of Jesus” – as St. Louis urges us in his “True Devotion” in paragraph #227. He also mentions that he recommends this in the first part of his book. If you have never read his “True Devotion”, you may want to begin to read it slowly and prayerfully during this Advent and during the New Year continue pondering the Wisdom God gave this saint in writing this beautiful book.
Yesterday I suggested reading (listening) and pondering the First Letter of John and today I suggest you may want to listen and ponder again words from John’s First Letter, chapter 2:verses 15 - 17 to help understand our need to let go of the spirit of the world which may be in us:
Come Holy Spirit, fill us as you filled Mary with the Truth Who is Jesus! May we remain in Him as Mary did on earth and as she does now in heaven. Jesus we trust in You! Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us!

Scripture is always our primary source. St. Louis de Montfort himself read and lived what he heard from God’s Holy Word. It was in writing his book on “Love of Eternal Wisdom” – based on the Book of Wisdom in the Bible, – that St. Louis began to “see” by Supernatural Faith the role of Mary, more clearly, for all.Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life, is not from the Father but is from the world.
Yet the world and its enticement are passing away. But whoever does the will of God remains forever.
Come Holy Spirit, fill us as you filled Mary with the Truth Who is Jesus! May we remain in Him as Mary did on earth and as she does now in heaven. Jesus we trust in You! Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us!
