November Dead List envelopes

I understand not all parishes have this custom, but the ones I’ve been in do.

Presumably, you are supposed to put an offering in the November Dead List envelopes. How much should it be?

Another question re the envelopes, should I mention everyone by name or just ask for prayers for this family and that family?

No offering is required, it is simply an option.

List the names (clearly printed!) however you wish, God knows.

These will be remembered at Masses throughout November.

In our parish, we provide pieces of violet-coloured paper for parishioners to list their family and friends to be remembered at all November Masses, which they can ‘post’ into a box to be put on the sanctuary.

We provide paper rather than envelopes precisely to discourage any money being included. Even so, some fold the money inside.
