Hey so I have a bit of a crazy situation. I realized today that I prayed the chaplet using 3 Hail Mary’s on the three Hail Mary beads rather than doing the Our Father, Hail Mary and The Apostles Creed. I.e. I did the opening prayer, Our Father, Hail Mary (x3) THEN the Apostles Creed. Am I good for the indulgence or did I make a grave error during the novena. Also, I work near 3pm and am wondering if it is a requirement to pray it at 3pm or if anytime of the day works. Thanks!

Please try not to worry over the mistakes that you made.

Just continue on. 🙂

You can pray the Chaplet at any time of the day whenever you can fit it in.

People like to try and pray it at 3 p.m. in honor of the time in remembrance of Jesus’ death.

Jesus has promised to forgive our sins and punishment if we fulfil certain requirements. This is a different and seperate thing to the Papal Plenary Indulgence that is also in effect. For that you need Communion in a state of Grace, Confession, and to pray for the Pope.

For the Mercy Jesus is offering,

The chaplet Novena is not necessary, but desireble.

Jesus wants
  1. Complete trust in Him
  2. Works of Mercy
3.veneration of the image of Divine Mercy Jesus on the day ( a gesture of deep religious respect toward the image because it represents our most Merciful Saviour.
And on the day ( next Sunday)

Communion in a State of Grace
Confession (preferably before the Communion)

Celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy,

And very important

Sincerely repent of all your sins.

Be merciful to others in action, words, and Prayers on their behalf.

Even if we don’t get it all right, Jesus will grant many graces to souls.

All from St Faustina’s Diary

Amen!

Praying anytime of the day or night is great.

Jesus did ask, throughout the year, if we stop briefly at 3pm to think of and thank Him for His Mercy and ask of it to save souls. Even if for a minute. Only.

Our Lady and your Guardian Angel have already fixed this for you and offered it to the Father as you intended it. Pray on!
