I am a former protestant who came into the church at Easter. My husband is still protestant (Presbyterian) and probably will remain so. I can take the kids with me to Mass, and sometimes he will attend too. I go with them to the Presbyterian church whenever he goes.
I haven’t been very faithful about their faith formation. We occasionally read the Bible and pray. I talk with them about God in our conversation, and try to teach them as it comes up naturally when we’re talking about school, friends, stuff in the news, etc. They are 14, 11, and 9.
I want them to grow up to know, love and serve God. I’m worried that with my husband and me not being unified in our faith, and not giving them much formal teaching or prayer/devotion their chances are not good.
Is there some special novena, prayer to a specific Saint (Monica perhaps?), or some devotion that has this particular intention in mind?
Thank you so much for your help and suggestions
