Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary

Oh, most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendour of Heaven.
Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity.
Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother.
Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly
beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity.
(Mention your request here).
There are none that can withstand your power.
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee. (3 times)
Sweet Mother, I place this cause in Your hands.(3 times)

Very good prayer.

When I hear the words, “never known to fail”, I usually take it to mean the prayer is always answered because of the love of God and our Blessed Mother, but just not always answered in the way we always want, but instead what is best for us.

Kind of like the beginning of the Memorare, we know Our Mother’s help won’t fail:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Prayer never fails.
