When our own sins weigh so heavily on our own hearts, is it any wonder that Christ died bearing our iniquities? Our pains and sin and wrongdoing, our evils, our ingratitude…! Is it any wonder that His Body, plagued by the tortures suffered in the Passion, would give out upon being weighed down by so much? He died! God Himself!
Yet, in His Resurrection, He overcomes all evils, our sins, our wrongdoing…so let us too, when dead to sin, rise again, but what Christ did in Body, let us do in spirit.
And what a better time! Divine Mercy Sunday! Truly, Divine Mercy can be wrought upon us, mercy and grace, bringing peace and life! Let us rejoice and repent! Repent of all evils and be made anew!
