Not sure who is writing for their radio news, but today on Michigan npr I heard something funny at the end of one of their stories.
Code:
They were giving a report on pro life (npr called them ab****ortion rights opponents) rallies across Michigan in response to the videos that recently came out. The lady reading the news several times stated that PP ***donated*** the fetal tissue for research. Then, at the end of the story she said that PP stated that they did not ***profit *** off the ***donations.***

Which left me wondering, why would a statement have to be made about not profiting, if all you are doing is donating? I always thought donating was giving with nothing in return. My bad.

NPR is a left-leaning news organization. I don’t listen to them, and I don’t trust them.

Don’t listen to them for news. But it is a good source of intelligence on the adversary’s movements.

Abortion is not a right, that alone tells you who NPR is in the tank for. I have never trusted this entity period and certainly in large part because they have a history of defending abortion.

Funny that, I just posted about that very thing

Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories.
- Sun Tzu

Same reason I watch and listen to the liberal media… know thy enemy.

Unfortunately, the enemy controls most of the news media… wonder why the freedom of the press was so important to the founding fathers of this country (USA). (sarcastic rhetorical question that 😃 )

My priest listens to NPR.
Many Catholics listen to NPR. The challenge is discerning the agenda and points of view of each report to decide what is truthful, ethical, and humane. Frankly, I have a similar problem with some conservative radio; not all reports there are truthful, ethical, or humane either.

However, on this PP video, I will concede that Conservative radio has certainly beaten NPR and the mainstream media. How quickly the PLanned Parenthood proponents were able to spin this video into merely a “political move by the evil right.”

My concern on these PP videos is that some are suddenly shocked and upset about a medical procedure that we already know kills a pre-born baby. What do we expect from a group of people who already allow this deathly procedure to be offered so easily? All of the discussion about what is done afterwards with the killed child seems above and beyond the fact that we are killing human babies, period. It was inevitable that this would happen since those with the abortion mentality were (back in the 60’s and 70’s) and still are, clinging to their favorite term: " fetal tissue" when discussing hearts, livers, brains…Where, in human physiology, can a piece of random tissue transform into a human heart, liver, or brain? And, if we were to believe that this is “just a piece of tissue”, then we are allowing a woman’s pregnancy as some sort of perceived Petri dish and that is the lowest form of human trafficking I can imagine. Abortion is slavery, whether a child is thrown in the garbage or salvaged for its organs.

it is all so sad.

I assume they felt a need to make this statement twice, two different ways, because many right wing propaganda sites keep writing blaring headlines that Planned Parenthood is selling babies.
And some people who don’t research what they read believe such statements blindly.

In fact, it is the pregnant women who are donating the fetal tissue–which would otherwise be disposed of–for medical research.

.
Which begs the question. If all they are doing is ***donating, ***why mention the word profit? It is impossible for the entity that Is donating to profit off a donation. If anything it sheds doubt on whether pp is actually donating or selling the baby for research.

You actually believe they’re not profiting?! Lamborghinis ain’t cheap.

I cannot remember which video, but it was clear in both edited and unedited versions that they simply take what they need without consent in many instances.

No! It is very clear that StemExpress technicians do the job of procurement, the paperwork and are responsible for shipping the specimen. There are no costs to PP affiliates associated with StemExpress - it is all pure profit to pad the bottom line.

“Some people who don’t research…,” indeed!

While I listen to NPR, they lack journalistic ethics when it comes to their liberal agenda. That’s why they only report the PP talking points.

They lack a single conservative commentator across all their programs. Thomas Sowell has never had a guest spot on any program, nor any conservative of his caliber…

Listening to Mark Steyn doing Rush’s show, Steyn said Planned Parenthood by itself performs more abortions than Canada, Germany and France combined annually.

And what is the latest scandal with Planned Parenthood? Sending intact babies heads in the mail? Really? Is NPR going to report this? It’s hard to believe our nation could have such and that it would not be a given that such an organization would not be defunded.

Sure, some NPR is good enough, “all things considered” but some clearly is not.
