I’m presenting the letter N in our Kindergarten class so I’m using the word Nun. I want a coloring page that labels the parts of a nun’s habit, such as the wimple. Then the kids can assemble/glue the pieces and color. I’ve been to holy-habits dot com but they’re not labeled. Anyone have a favorite site I could grab a page? Thanks

Here is a cute project, doesn’t have all the pieces labeled, but it is cute.

That is so cute! I’m doing that. Thank you, happy Advent and Merry Christmas!!👍

That is very cute! With a couple of tweaks, you could use the same idea to make Mary and Joseph for a nativity scene too. Instead of beads, Mary could hold a baby Jesus. 👍

That is super cute!! But I would stay away from them “holding” a monstrance. Women cannot do that. 🙂 I love the idea otherwise though!!

I set up for Holy Hour at our church, and I carry the monstrance from the sacristy to the altar every time. It’s empty. I agree that only a priest can hold a monstrance with our Lord in it, but women can pick an empty one up.

CAREFUL OPENING THAT LINK!!

I just tried and my computer blocked a major virus!!!

These are pictured with a host in them.

Just wanted to say thanks-this project was perfect for the Kindergartners. The one change I made was I bought stickers of the Rosary from Zazzle as making rosaries could be too challenging/time killing for the little ones. 👍

Isn’t St. Clare of Assisi sometimes depicted holding a monstrance with the Host inside? Might be what this image was based on.

Hi leighland,
There is a Catholic mom blog I discovered and i think you would like it not sure about nun pictures but awesome stuff on it www.catholicicing.com check it out and have fun with it.

Yes, St. Clare is often pictured holding a monstrance because she did hold the monstrance once! Her convent was being attacked by soldiers, and she frightened them away, by holding up the Blessed Sacrament so that they could see it. I am sure that St. Clare never handled the Blessed Sacrament in an unapproved manner. She was very obedient to the Church. Nuns (and anyone else who might find themselves in this situation) always had permission to save the Blessed Sacrament from being profaned by those who were trying to invade a convent or church, and there were no priests available to remove Him.

St. Clare is the patron saint of embroiders. She might be portrayed holding her sewing!

Oops how funny I did not have time to open the link and it was from the same sight.
Great mind think alike!!!
