Has anybody seen the play Nunsence live or on tv? I think it is a bunch of anti-catholic garbage that makes fun of nuns, holy communion, and confession. What’s your opinion?

I saw the first one live, the second on tv (with Rue Maclanhan). When it is performed live, in a town with a large Catholic population, their hire a real nun to perform. Her salary goes to a charity. I love it!!

Saw it, loved it, and most everyone in the audience had a rollicking good time including the nuns who were in the audience.

Haven’t seen it, but I have a bunch of friends who did. When it’s around I intend to see it. From what I get, it’s not antiCatholic, it just pokes fun at our shared experiences. If we can’t do that, let’s go back to self-flagellation!

I saw it performed live; it was great fun! I didn’t feel it was inappropriate in any way.

I’ve seen it and I loved it. I suppose that some Catholics are so serious that they can’t laugh at the foibles of their own culture. Reminds me of a saying by Voltaire that goes something like this; “God is a comedian performing before an audience that is afraid to laugh”.
