Can anyone provide me with a statement of an objective truth?

A = A.
A or not-A.
It cannot be true that A and not-A.

In order, these are the law of identity, law of excluded middle, and law of non-contradiction.

Thanks cpayne, but aren’t these the rules of a Aristotlean logic only?

Surely there are many other rules of logic for example fuzzy logic has an included middle.

For example, if we say n means necessarily, and p means possible, then

pA = ~n~A and nA = ~p~A but pA /= nA. Thus nA or ~nA, but pA and p~A

To paraphrase schrodinger - it maybe!

Objective truth: Cogito; ergo sum. Descartes

And if there can be one objective truth, why can’t there be a million?

Not really the same thing; the other rules still hold.

For example, pA and p~A may be valid, but that’s not the same thing as pA and ~pA—which is false. Objectively false, one might even say. 🙂
