Anyone play oboe?

Know any online.reputable dealers that sell serviced.secomd hand.oboes?

I know of.howarth, but.thats all.
 
It’s been a while since I was searching for one, but if you search the woodwind & brasswind, you may get lucky. I know a few people that bought various instruments from them. Granted, it was at least 15-20 years ago, but my understanding is that they are still out there. 🙂
 
Former player, many, many moons ago. I salute you – it’s a tough instrument.

Don’t know of any online sellers but you may want to check your local school districts, colleges and music schools. Every year our local district sells instruments and I believe they tune/reapir them up first (or at least provide guidance as to reputable repairers). We had good luck getting our kids’ band instruments of all types.
 
I know of Forrests in Berkeley, CA. It was recommended by my oboe teacher who was a member of the Detroit Symphony for purchasing oboe supplies. They sell used oboes. Their website is: www.forrestsmusic.com. I used to buy oboe reeds and items for making reeds years ago. Unfortunately, I haven’t played my oboe in years.😦 I need to play it again.🙂
