My wife is an OT and is considering converting. Does anyone know of a patron saint for occupational therapists? For those that do not know OT is very different from physical therapists.
Hopefully someone else can help, but so far there are only vaguely applicable saints for this, but no specific saints that I could discover. Occupational Therapy is a fairly recent definition for a call to serve those with a variety of needs in our community.
“Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well being through occupation. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by working with people and communities to enhance their ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do, or by modifying the occupation or the environment to better support their occupational engagement.” Occupational Therapy Australia - About Occupational Therapy
I’m sure that our Mother Mary many times fulfilled the kind duties of ‘occupational therapy’ as a truly loving human woman.
God bless your wife and you, and those whom your wife seeks to help.
