Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today we conclude Chapter 1 in St. Louis De Montfort’s treatise on "True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin". These last paragraphs continue to describe the “Necessity of True Devotion to our Lady” and the true apostles of Jesus to come:
  1. They will be true apostles of the latter times to whom the Lord of Hosts will give eloquence and strength to work wonders and carry off glorious spoils from his enemies. They will sleep without gold or silver and, more important still, without concern in the midst of other priests, ecclesiastics and clerics. Yet they will have the silver wings of the dove enabling them to go wherever the Holy Spirit calls them, filled as they are with the resolve to seek the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Wherever they preach, they will leave behind them nothing but the gold of love, which is the fulfillment of the whole law.
  2. Lastly, we know they will be true disciples of Jesus Christ, imitating his poverty, his humility, his contempt of the world and his love. They will point out the narrow way to God in pure truth according to the holy Gospel, and not according to the maxims of the world. Their hearts will not be troubled, nor will they show favour to anyone; they will not spare or heed or fear any man, however powerful he may be. They will have the two-edged sword of the word of God in their mouths and the blood-stained standard of the Cross on their shoulders. They will carry the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary on their heart. The simplicity and self-sacrifice of Jesus will be reflected in their whole behaviour.
Such are the great men who are to come. By the will of God Mary is to prepare them to extend his rule over the impious and unbelievers. But when and how will this come about? Only God knows. For our part we must yearn and wait for it in silence and in prayer: "I have waited and waited."
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful. Kindle in us the Fire of Your Love. Jesus, we trust in You! Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

“In Mary the promise is fulfilled: the Mother is blessed and we her children will be blessed if, like her, we listen to and put into practice the Lord’s words.
May today’s solemnity open our hearts to this superior view of life. May the Virgin, whom today we contemplate in splendor at her Son’s right hand, help contemporary man to live believing “in the fulfillment of the Lord’s words.”…
Mary, " who are the joy of heaven and of earth, " may you watch over and pray for us and for the whole world, now and for ever. Amen!”

Dear hazcompat,

Thanks again for another beautiful quote to help us further along our journey toward Jesus through Mary! Pope St. JPII was truly while – on this earth – a man who lived “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin” He now is in heaven!

May we as this humble servant and Pope JPII, also listen to the Lord’s words as He speaks through His Word and through His Saints. Pope JPII learned much from both Scripture and St. Louis de Montfort! He told the De Montfort Fathers that he prayed his Act of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary every day!

I will find my signed copy. I am sure I signed it twice decades apart. How lonely those who do not know what we do! To Jesus through Mary! Our Mother from the Cross!

Peace

Dear hazcompat,

I don’t remember ever signing my first copy, I was only a sophomore in High School and I ’ don’t know if the nun who invited us to consecrate ourselves knew about enrolling us in the Association of the Queen of All Hearts. I tried contacting the Association a few years ago to see if they had any record of my being enrolled, giving them my maiden name, the date June 10 and the approximate year.

They were kind enough to send me a return e-mail letting me know they had searced a few years before and after as well as the date itself and could not find a record, so they sent me a new enrollment certificate with the date that I gave them. It was a joy to receive. I began to pray my Act of Consecration daily during this year and I pray it before the crucifix asking God not to let it be “mere words” but to help me to LIVE the words I pray, by His Grace coming to me through Mary.

Thanks again, dear brother, for your faithful love of Jesus through Mary. “Totus Tuus”!
